In The Great Commission: "Jesus said, ‘Go and make disciples of all nations... and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." (Matthew 28:19-20)

At Braden River We believe God has Five purposes for your life!

I. God wants us to magnify his name. (Worship)

Psalm 34:3 O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.

We magnify God's name when we love and worship him. We were made to love and honor God. If that's what we were made for that should be the number one purpose for our lives. That's the number one purpose for our church.

II. God wants us to be messengers of his love. (Mission)

Our mission as Christians is to share the "good news of Jesus Christ" with those who have not heard and understood the message.

III. God wants us to be a model of his character. (Discipleship)

There is something more than just coming to know Jesus Christ in a personal relationship. The Bible says it's maturity, becoming like Jesus Christ.

2 Peter 3:18 "Grow in grace and the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ."

IV. God wants us to be ministers of his grace. (Ministry)

God designed Christians to have a ministry.

A definition of ministry is meeting needs with love. The reality is, everybody hurts. Everybody has a hurt. Everybody has a struggle. It doesn't matter how nicely put together you look. It doesn't matter whether your shoes match your purse. It doesn't matter whether you've got a great house and a great car and a great job. It doesn't really matter if all those things are in place because somewhere in your life is a hurt, a need, a struggle. Part of the reason this church exists is to help meet those needs with love. And not even just the needs of you here but the community where we know people are aching and dying. That's why we are a real church for real people!

V. God wants us to be members of his family. (Fellowship)

This is true Christian fellowship. The Bible is very clear that following Christ is not just a matter of believing. It also includes belonging. We believe belonging to a church is vital for your spiritual growth!
